Something about me
My name is Melania, I was born in 1988, I live in the province of Florence, and my love for craftsmanship began when I was 15 years old.
That was when, recovering material from a disused haberdashery, I began for fun and out of boredom to dabble with wire and glass beads.
In this field, I am a self-taught person who, in her free time, has experimented (and continues to experiment) a lot, who has failed a lot, and who then finally found her own path in terms of style and emotions to express (but who is still in full evolution).
I have always been convinced that jewelry is the most important accessory to communicate our way of being to the world, to express our personality, because they "speak" to others even before we do: they are our business card.
In July 2020, I decided to change my life, abandoning the path I had taken through my university studies, and so the brand Melania Gorini Jewellery was born.
Craftsmanship became a full-time job; it continued to be "a serious matter" (because I have always considered it as such) but with the difficulties and satisfactions that a real job, not just a hobby, entails.
And in 2022, I decided to launch this new digital space.
Not an aseptic and cold online shop, but hopefully a virtual place where you can relax, browsing pleasantly while sipping a cup of coffee or tea, as if you were visiting a friend.
Here you will find jewelry designed by me, handmade by me in my workshop in Tuscany or, in the case of some specific components, with the help of my trusted external suppliers/collaborators, based on my design, and always 100% artisanal.
The metal I use is mainly 925 silver and 18k or 21k gold-plated silver, which I combine with hard stones, corals, cameos, and everything needed to create original and unique jewelry.
You will predominantly find unique pieces and rarely reproducible pieces, and in any case, always reproducible in small quantities, as true craftsmanship demands.
And if you are curious to learn more about my story, I invite you to read the blog article:

Happy Browsing ❤️
